UPDATES ON MARIO

At Clive Davis' annual Grammy Eve party last year, the music mogul rolled out his latest hot prospect, a singer/pianist named Alicia Keys. Twelve months later, she was Grammy's golden girl, taking home five trophies.
So who did Davis introduce this year?
He may only be 13, but R&B singer Mario is poised to be the next Clive Davis-groomed success story. In fact, Keys produced two songs for the Baltimore native's as-yet-untitled debut album, due in June.

** "JUST A FRIEND" AT RADIO **
Mario's first single has officially been released to radio stations
across the country. So let's start requesting "Just A Friend!" If
you need help finding request info or radio stations in your area,
check out this link --

Keep us posted on all of the requests you're making -- how many times
you request the song and what station (station name & city / state),
so we can see how hard you're working to get "Just A Friend" on the
radio in your hometown. And, don't forget to let us know how many
times they've played the song!
I'm working on getting some cool prizes for the Team members who make
the most requests.
** VIDEO COMING SOON **
Mario's video for "Just A Friend" was directed by Diane Martel and
filmed in Baltimore, MD (Mario's hometown). As soon as we get word on
its premiere, we'll let you know right away!
** MAGAZINES **
Mario has appeared in the latest issues of Word Up, Right On!, Tiger
Beat and Black Beat. We hope you all had the chance to pick up
copies to learn more about Mario.
He will be featured in upcoming issues of J14 and Teen People, so
keep checking your local newsstands.
** UPCOMING TV APPEARANCES **
Mario will be taping "Soul Train" on April 22nd. Once an air date is
determined, we'll let you all know so you won't miss it!
He will also have a 30 minute special in June on Nickelodeon. More
info to come on that!
Finally, Mario is scheduled to perform live on BET's Teen Summit on
May 18th.
** MARIO IN PERSON **
Mario will be performing at the Glendale Galleria (Glendale, CA) on
May 10th as part of a CosmoGIRL! event.
He will also be appearing at the following radio shows --
June 22nd - WJLB (Detroit, MI)
July 25th - Z-90 (Club Sea World in San Diego, CA)
